Beautiful 4/4 violin, with the name of the French luthier Mauchant, Rouver, Mirecourt, France, pyrographed on the inside and on the end-pin area of the tailpiece. One-piece top, perfectly preserved without cracks or repairs, made of first-quality spruce pine with straight, tight grain. The back is carved from a single piece, structurally perfect except for a fine line in the upper area. It has rich flamed maple. The pegs and chinrest are made of rosewood. The fingerboard and tailpiece are made of ebony, the latter decorated with a bronze inlaid lyre. Oil varnish. Warm, powerful, and balanced sound. This instrument has been meticulously inspected in Miguel Mateo's workshop, guaranteeing that its structure and setup are optimal for professional performers and advanced students.
