Custom-made concert fiddle built according to specific technical and decorative criteria for my client. An instrument designed to stand out both visually and acoustically on Irish stages or during folk music concerts. The client's wishes were to achieve a velvety light yellow varnish with a silky brown that would highlight the Celtic symbols of the Tree of Life and the Magic Triskelion. The fingerboard features a more pronounced overstand and projection to increase the string angle, thus optimizing the string action while keeping the fingerboard sufficiently close. This particular height requires the use of a viola bridge to compensate for the height through its own inherent structural rigidity.
